Welcome to Uvita, Costa Rica!
We started this site to provide the WWW with a little information on this amazing section of Costa Rica. Located 15 minutes south of Dominical, Uvita sits in what is now being called, Costa Ballena (Whale Coast) for it's famous migratory route of the humpback whales. The most amazing coincidence is the fact that the Uvita beach has a section of it whereas two bays come together and form an exact replica of a whale's tail. Guess what this is called? You guess it...The Whale's Tail of Uvita.
National Geographic has rated the areas around Corcovado National Park, as being some of the most bio-diverse areas known to man. Some of Costa Rica's most rare animals call the area home.
So what are we all about? Well like we mentioned before, we are trying to put Uvita on the map. Digitally albeit, but at least we hope to bring awareness to the area and all it has to offer.
We hope you enjoy the site!
